rolex 116610 service

Haris, my Rolex Submariner couldn't be better. It looked better than the day I bought it. You cleaned the watch meticulously and it is nice to have it back again. It was in my case for over a year while I searched for a watchmaker that could service it at a reasonable price. It was worth the wait. Thank you again. I will refer your service to my friends that own high end timepieces. Regards, –Eric

rolex date just service

Haris, I received my Rolex yesterday. Thank you! It looks beautiful. It was pretty banged up when I sent it. I had my doubts but now it looks like new. I appreciate your attention to detail, professional service and fair price. I will tell my friends.
Cheers, Ken.

vintage rolex repair

Haris,
Thank you for the great service. Four aspects have stood out:
My Rolex looks like new, and has that new bracelet sound, too.
I’ve tested it’s accuracy against my quartz watch and time radio, and I do not believe the watch was ever this accurate, even when new.
The autowind feature is now so silent, I was initially concerned it was not autowinding at all, but that is clearly not the case.
Finally, you finished the work in far less than the quoted time.
Thank you very much. Best regards,
John M.

THE CARE OF YOUR ROLEX

THE CARE OF YOUR ROLEX
Is your Rolex a manual wind, Oyster Perpetual or Quartz movement? All are deserved of, and
subjected to, a specially designed service process to ensure that your Rolex maintains original factory
specifications. This periodic quality maintenance is performed by Rolex technicians and is only
appropriate for a timepiece with renowned craftsmanship and unsurpassed commitment to quality.
The following pages will provide you with a better understanding of some of the intricate processes
involved in servicing a Rolex.

FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SERVICING YOUR ROLEX OYSTER

FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW
ABOUT SERVICING YOUR ROLEX OYSTER

Proper care and periodic maintenance ensure that any complex, precision instrument will perform to
its fullest potential. Your Rolex Oyster, with more than 200 movement components, is no exception.
A Rolex watch's performance is truly remarkable. It registers 86,400 seconds every day throughout
the year... year after year. Accordingly, the balance wheel rim of your watch travels the equivalent
of 14,000 miles over a three year period. This kind of endurance requires and indeed deserves
quality maintenance by a highly trained and dedicated Rolex technician.
Use this booklet as a guide for periodic servicing of your Rolex watch. Rolex Factory Service will guarantee
that your handcrafted precision instrument will provide you with outstanding time keeping performance.

FACTORY SERVICING OF THE ROLEX OYSTER MOVEMENT

FACTORY SERVICING OF THE ROLEX OYSTER MOVEMENT
There are more than 200 components in the movement of an Oyster. To ensure its harmonious
functioning, your precision movement depends on five different types of lubricants. Each pivot
of its train wheels and balance staff is lubricated with the precise amount of the proper grade
lubricant necessary to maintain a minimum level of friction and wear.
Changes in the viscosity of the oil (the degree to which it dries out over a period of time) can impede
time keeping through friction wear. It has, therefore, always been our policy at Rolex to recommend to
owners that their watch be cleaned and oiled, depending on their wearing habits, about every five years.
During this procedure, the movement is completely disassembled and every single part is inspected
and cleaned in specially formulated solutions that dissolve dirt, dust and emulsify dried out and congealed

During this procedure, the movement is completely disassembled and every single part is inspected
and cleaned in specially formulated solutions that dissolve dirt, dust and emulsify dried out and congealed lubricants. All worn movement parts and case seals are replaced as are the case tube and winding
crown, when necessary. The original finish of the oyster case and bracelet is restored by hand and then
carefully pressure-proof tested.

Finally, the movement is meticulously reassembled with as much care and attention as when it was first assembled by master craftsmen in Geneva, Switzerland. It is then checked, using sophisticated equipment and human observation, to ensure it maintains its original standards of time keeping.

WATER PRESSURE TESTS AND REGULATING FOR THE ROLEX OYSTER

WATER PRESSURE TESTS AND REGULATING FOR THE ROLEX OYSTER
The world renowned Oyster pressure-proof case was invented and patented by Rolex in 1926. Today, every handcrafted Rolex Oyster is rigorously tested for its ability to provide pressure-proof performance to depths ranging from 330ft/100m to 4000ft/1220m, depending on the Rolex Oyster model. When your Rolex Oyster case is serviced, it is once again tested in a special vacuum tank developed and patented by Rolex, which verifies the protective features of the case.

Timekeeping

Timekeeping
The heart of your Rolex watch is its highly sensitive balance wheel. Timekeeping precision is achieved through the meticulous setting of the timing screws located on the balance wheel. Once the servicing of the movement is completed, and after precise regulation is achieved using state-of-the-art timing calibrators and instruments, the performance of your Rolex watch is carefully observed for several days. Only when our quality control inspectors are completely satisfied that the watch is performing to exacting Rolex standards, is your refurbished timepiece returned to you.

THE ROLEX WINDING CROWN AND CASE TUBE

THE ROLEX WINDING CROWN AND CASE TUBE
One of the most important features of your Rolex Oyster is its patented Twinlock or Triplock winding crown mechanism. The precision threaded case tube allows the winding crown to be firmly secured against the case. When your Oyster case is overhauled, both the winding crown and case tube are thoroughly examined to guarantee a perfect fit.
Whenever you open your winding crown, it is important to remember to tighten it securely again when done, especially prior to engaging in water related activities. This ensures that the original pressure-proof characteristics of your Rolex Oyster will remain intact, providing proper protection for its precision movement.

Cleaning your Rolex Oyster

CARE OF YOUR ROLEX WATCH

Cleaning your Rolex Oyster
To preserve the bright luster of your Rolex Oyster, simply wash it from time to time in lukewarm water, using a mild soap and soft brush. After exposure to the ocean and sea mist, a Rolex Oyster should be rinsed in fresh water to remove salt and minute sand particles.
Remember: Before wearing or washing your Rolex Oyster, always make sure the winding crown is fully screwed down.

Winding Your Timepiece
If your Rolex Oyster Perpetual has been put aside for a few days and has stopped running, it will be necessary to manually rewind the watch before wearing it Unscrew the winding crown out to the winding position and run the crown about 40 full times. Make sure the crown is fully screwed down before putting the watch on your wrist.

CARING FOR YOUR ROLEX BRACELET

CARING FOR YOUR ROLEX BRACELET
The Rolex bracelet is as functional as it is elegant. To avoid excessive wear between the links, it is recommended that your bracelet be properly size and fit securely around your wrist. What is more, after a time, everyday use of your Rolex watch means that grit and grace will collect between the bracelet links and literally act as sandpaper, grinding the metal away. Like the Oyster case itself, you can preserve the bright luster of your Rolex bracelet by washing it periodically in lukewarm water, using a mild soap and a soft brush. A fresh water rinse after exposure to the ocean and sea mist will also protect build-up of salt residue within the bracelet links,

Remember: Before wearing or washing your Rolex Oyster, always make sure the winding crown is fully screwed down.
