A Complete service involves complete disassembly of the movement.
A watch will routinely require a full service every 4 to 5 years, or because of a malfunction. This is a lengthy procedure (at least 4 weeks) given the number of stages involved. For example, controlling the watch’s functioning can take 2 weeks. Damaged or worn parts, such as wheels or springs, must be replaced.
A Complete service includes:
- Diagnosis
- Removing the movement from the case and complete disassembly
- Cleaning the movement
- Replacing damaged or worn parts, reassembly and lubrication
- Regulating the watch
- Refitting the movement in the case
- Replacing the battery (for quartz watches)
- Replacing the gaskets and testing water-resistance
- Testing the watch’s autonomy
- Cleaning the case and bracelet
- Polishing and inspection of the watch’s exterior
- Each intervention is guaranteed 24 months
